Our Location
Briar Barn Inn blends casual elegance and rustic comfort. You’ll find our location in the heart of Boston’s North Shore region – across from the town common on Main Street in Rowley, Massachusetts, just over 30 miles north of Boston.
The Inn
Our inn is U-shaped, with a landscaped courtyard visible from eastern-facing rooms. Our lobby and front desk are located right at the front of the building. After check-in, you can enjoy easy access to the spa, courtyard, and our restaurant, Grove, through our landscaped garden paths.
To make your stay effortlessly comfortable, our inn features cozy gathering spaces with coffee and tea stations, uniquely appointed guest rooms, and a host of thoughtful amenities.
Should you want to relax, our courtyard is conveniently located and surrounded by beautiful landscaping, with connecting paths to the inn, restaurant, dining patio, and terrace. In warmer weather, enjoy our outdoor pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), seasonal fire pit, lawn games, and shaded porch swing.
Grove Restaurant
Built as a post-and-beam barn, our restaurant, Grove, perfectly represents Rowley’s rural history. It features an open-concept dining room bathed in natural light, farmhouse tables that seat up to 100 guests, and three separate bar locations. In the warmer months, our terrace has outdoor seating.
Our restaurant offers a seasonal menu, developed by award-winning chef, Ben Lightbody, focusing on farm-fresh ingredients, inspired flavors, and regional classics with a twist. We are open year-round for dinner and brunch on weekends.
The Spa & Pool
The Spa at Briar Barn Inn offers restorative and invigorating treatments to help you unwind. Located just beyond the main entrance to Briar Barn Inn, our location is the perfect addition to a relaxing stay at our inn, a compliment to a meal at our restaurant, or as a destination for appointments for the local community. Enjoy a relaxing massage, fragrant foot soak, or rejuvenating skin treatment, all offered in the privacy and comfort of our newly designed spa facility.
Our pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through Indigenous Peoples' Day weekend. Guests at the inn have pool access with their room key or you can book one of our spa service packages that includes a pool pass to use before or after your treatment.
